    I meant to start differin for adult acne & pigmentation. But am thinking i may try tret instead because i have lines & pigmentation to target. Have u thought about trying copper peptides instead? I had incredible results with them but sadly doesn't help my acne

    A few tips. Make sure you have the "real deal" - 3 x retinol esthers. Cleanse your face then wait for 10 minutes until your skin is completely dry. THEN apply A313 to entire face, neck and chest. I do this an hour before bed so it has properly soaked in. You'll feel a tingle when you follow these steps. Give this product time - it really does work and is brilliant at breaking down sunspots. I also think it's less likely to make your skin hyper-sensitive. I love it. (I also use a good Vitamin C serum in the daytime)

    First time watching. What struck me immediately was your gorgeous copper hair color...and then you talked about coloring it. I colored my hair my whole life - it was a pain (I went gray very early.) Your hair really is beautiful. As far as frizz - mine is really frizzie in humidity so I bought the Revlon round brush dryer and it works like a dream smoothing my hair.

    I was looking for a video to see if perhaps I had gotten a bad bottle of this stuff, and I found your post. I guess I didn't get a bad bottle after all, but like you, it doesn't do much for my hair. My hair is short and fine I have been looking for a great volumizer forever and had high hopes for this one. It doesn't do nearly as well as the much cheaper ones I've been using.

    Lovely to see you Karen, you look gorgeous 💜 love your makeup - love a darker colour on the lids with eyeliner in the waterline - like you I go for striking rather than bigger eyes - and it really suits you 💜 when you said you were going to get highlights I thought you meant you were going blonde 😅 and I absolutely love your natural hair colour,really looking forward to seeing copper highlights though sounds gorgeous 👌😊💜 xxx

    Oh and a tip from fellow frizz prone gal! :p Try doing more for your hair pre shampoo. I do a pure macadamia hot oil (the omega pressery one from Amazon) treatment and leave it overnight. My hair is much softer and less puffy/frizzy post wash. Even just using your fav mask as a pre shampoo treatment might help if you don’t wanna buy more stuff 💕

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick 7 днів тому

      Oh yes, I love doing this and do it regularly - I use almond oil usually and put it on at night then wash out in the morning :0)

    Your hair color is so lovely ☺️ Have you tried the Adore semi permanent colours? I mix some in with my Boucleme hydrating hair mask (50/50) and it really brightens my hair up! I use Sienna brown which is a deep auburn. They have lots of red toned shades, are CF 🐰 and inexpensive ❤

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick 7 днів тому

      I haven't because I don't want a semi permanent one, it will take too much upkeep! xx

    • @HorrorBiscuit
      @HorrorBiscuit 6 днів тому

      @@TheBeautyMaverickit’s just like any other colour mask! There is no upkeep. It catches more to any lighter pieces in your hair and rinses out gradually as you wash your hair. Not sure why they call it semi perm! It’s more like a colour glaze I think 😊

    What powder do you recommend the most that you've found for over foundation to set? Or do you not use any? Do they really refine pores and blur fine lines? Have you tried NYX, ELF or Maxfactor as dupes to Laura Mercier? Ive also heard Givinchy is good 😊

    • @TheBeautyMaverick

      I use a powder yes but I've got so many! I love the 2 I mentioned in this video and I like the revolution loose ones and pressed one. I haven't ever looked for a dupe and haven't tried NYX or ELF. Max factor and Givenchy aren't cruelty free so I wouldn't buy them. xx

    With sensitive skin, I'm always careful about trying new skincare products. However, after seeing positive feedback about littleexttera riceberry Vitamin C serum, I decided to give it a shot. I've been using it for about around three months now, and I'm really satisfied with the results. The serum has a gentle formula that hasn't caused any redness on my sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall tone and texture of my skin-it looks more radiant and even. I use the serum in my morning skincare routine, and it performs wonderfully under my rice berry sunscreen and makeup. The packaging is straightforward and practical, though I do wish it gave more product per pump. Despite that slight drawback, I would recommend this serum to anyone with sensitive skin looking to add Vitamin C into their routine. It's been a gentle but effective addition to my skincare regimen now.

    The lactic acid looks good. Does it reduce pore size? I notice the website has a very long list of products it cant be used with incl. Peptides, retinol etc. What do you think? How do you use it in your routine? 😊

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick 21 день тому

      To be honest I didn't notice regarding pores but I suspect that's because I wasn't really noticing them really. I did have issues with pores many years ago, that got worse after I stopped using products with alcohol. This is the first time I've really thought about them but I think it may be because other bigger issues took my focus like bags, wrinkles etc lol. Its not a simple answer re what you can use them with - that is very cautious from the ordinary and rightly so - it depends on your skin type, how sensitive it is, how much you've used Retinoids in the past and what type etc. Peptides I wouldn't use with it as I believe from memory there is an issue with the peptide "working" as well, but I don't particularly believe in peptides. (If I use them it's for moisture or curiousity). If I use Retinol my skin is a mess so I personally wouldn't use those together. I just cleanse and then put lactic acid all over, then moisturiser. I've done a couple of skincare routine videos you might enjoy. x

    Hi Karen, this was a good idea for a video. I've used some of the same items for years too, love lactic acid and NMF, also use A Game retinal. Was thinking about trying The Ordinarys new retinal although it's only 15ml. Love Amino Acids as well, you steered me on to that one! Would love to see a makeup one and even a cleaning one! Hope you're ok x

      Hey Sandra! Did I ever tell you that my childhood guitar tutor was called Sandra Bruce?! 🤣 Onto nails - yes I use gel all the time, my nails are a mess if I don't use gel, they just split and I can't get them long at all. I realised the way to keep nails healthy with gel is proper gentle removal. x

    Hi Karen I think videos like this are a real window into what people love (as are empties with repeated items). My skin type is different so my repeated products are also different. I have extremely dry skin with both rosacea and eczema. Unfortunately the Garnier version is a bit irritating but I love the original Bioderma sensibio and their new biphase eye makeup remover is amazing (better than Lancome bifacil). The Lumene cream you mentioned wouldn’t suit me, but I like their fragrance free range especially the night cream for dry/sensitive skin. I like some of the ordinary oils as hair oils for my coarse curly hair, but their skincare isn’t my favourite. Best wishes x

    Good morning Karen, do you use cotton pads with the micellar water to remove your makeup, is this what you use as your first cleanse the cleansing milk and then just micellar water as the 2nd cleanse. I’ve been using Bioderma as my eye makeup remover and then a cleansing balm as my first then some sort of a gel cleanser as my 2nd cleanse. Those can get pretty pricey, I’m always looking for a better alternative. The color of your hair is lovely.❤. How what I eat in a day, my favorite meals I could eat everyday.

      Yes exactly, cotton wool (reusable sometimes), cleansing milk then micellar water as the 2nd cleanse. Oooh good idea! Thanks so much Bea, kisses to Dobi 😘

    Helpful video. How long did it take to get you brows back to normal? I had Botox for firs time only on one side for a brow lift as I had one eye brow sagging. At 2 week review they injected more units thats when it lead to eyelid ptosis, its 2 months and I still have one eye smaller than the other. Its awful ruined my Summer -I wouldn't mind if it didn't work ok money wasted but if it has complication eg eye lid ptsosi and makes you look worse thats when you really upset and there's nowhere to seek help as nothing can be done so out of pocket and worse than before! Also too many using NHS the advertising their businesses online when in actual practice these are side jobs done privately not on the NHS so I didn't see why they use that maybe to install trust and confidence. Only a doctor would know precisely where to inject and how much less units is more on sagging ageing skin compared to the run of the mill 25+ -30 yrs olds going for the 10 year top ups of Botox..after 40 it gets more complicated I feel. The market need regulating. P.S I didn't know there was a risk. My practitioner didn't offer any refund, many of them work from home they are trained, but not accountable like professional businesses. I'll never have botox again.

      I'm so sorry this happened to you too. It took about 3 months to go back to normal. x
